Blizzard missed us 12/20/09

The blizzard of 2009 was coming up thru the Northeast but it missed us and just gave us snow. So we dressed the girls in their new Winter gear and let them play outside. They had a blast !!! Why is it that kids are never cold ?

It was a Winter wonderland out there...

Hanging out with their daddy while he shoveled....

Cut and Decorate 12/19/09

It was a great day to make Christmas sugar cookies... so I took out the ready made sugar cookie dough and started rolling it out. The girls got to pick out the shapes and cut several different cookies. We had Christmas trees, stars, gingerbread men, and candy canes. Then we decorated them with m&ms, hard ball candy, red and green glitter and flower sprinkles...

daddy helped decorate too...

Our cookies were all ready for baking.....yum !!

Ginger House 12/17/09

After our little holiday party at our preschool, we dashed off to daddy's work for his little office party. Lisa - the office admin set up little ginger bread houses for all the little kids to decorate. The girls were really excited about decorating their own "ginger house" (thats what they call it).

First they frosted the roof...

Mateo and AJ were there too ..... they decorated their own house...

The girls carefully lined up all the candy .... so cute !

Then sprinkled red and green glitter candy on top..... perfect !!

Preschool Holiday Party 12/17/09

The girls little preschool was having a holiday party today. And all parents and siblings were invited. The kids sang Xmas songs, served up some yummy reindeer cookies, and exchange gifts and hugs. The girls enjoy school very much and they love their teacher and classmates....I think they will miss them during their two week break!

Reading is fun 12/13/09

Everytime its quiet in the house, I always find little William looking thru a book! It is so cute! I thinking he will be an avid reader when he grows up!! And hopefully way smart too!

He flips thru pages and checks out all the pictures...

He smiles and laughs when I catch him .....

The Vecchione kids 12/12/09

It was a wonderful surprise that the Vecchiones dropped by on Saturday night after shopping Portsmouth. We enjoyed pizza and drinks... and Play Doh !!!
Even little William joined in all the fun...

We had a nice relaxing evening ....

Too many trees 12/11/09

I think I went a bit crazy with all the trees this year but what the heck I had them from our two houses back in Texas. I just love ornaments and to this day, I am still adding to my collection! My favorite tree is our living room tree.... it is a real tree and very very big !! It probably has about a hundred ornaments....

The girls tree is a white faux tree with all favorite angel ornaments....

The playroom tree with all my mom's vintage wooden toy ornaments....
Our bedroom tree with my awesome collection of snowmen ornaments...
William's little bedroom tree with sports ornaments....
I just love the holidays.....now if I only had more energy left to put our little Santa Villages up !

Xmas cards are due 12/10/09

It is now December 10th and I haven't sent out any Xmas cards. I knew there wasn't much time left so I needed to do them today. I remembered that Chris was dressed nice this morning so I decided to do them tonight when he got home.
About an hour before he was due home, I got the kids ready in the Xmas outfits and prepped them for pictures..... I promised candy and chocolate, and more candy if they were really good and smiled for mommy. It was about 630pm when Chris arrived and I had the tripod in position....and the timer set to go. We took a couple of pictures and it was the 3rd picture that was the one !!! perfect ! I took a few more of the kiddos too.
It all went smoothly ....I even had time to run over to Walgreens that night and print out the cards. It was all mailed the next day! Success !!!

Girls of America Pageant 12/06/09

Eventhough it snowed today, Charlotte and I headed out to Danvers Mass to compete in the Girls of America Pageant. She was really excited about the pageant and wanted to come home with a crown and trophy.

Charlotte all dressed and ready to compete...
Charlotte and I strutting down the runway... She did a great job. She smiled, waved and blew kisses to the audience and judges. They just loved her.

Charlotte wins Miss Tiny Tot.... She is being handed her trophy, sash, gift bag, and crown...But she was mostly interested in the stuffed animal in her gift bag !!

Here are all the winners that day..... She was definitely a "tiny tot" compared to the others ! Congratulations my little Charlotte !!!

Its Snowing !!! 12/06/09

Today was our first day of snow !!! I just love how it looks when the snow is untouched....so perfect !!!

But our dog Dusty doesnt like it too much when she has to go out....

Crowns at Pease Airforce Base 12/5/09

Caitlyn is currently the 2009 Wee Miss Northern New England Queen and with that title, she has to participate in community service projects throughout New England with the organization. Today, the reigning title holders were bringing baked goods to the families of whom are serving the war overseas. We met with one of the high ranking officials of the base (who is a woman) and she gave a little speech about the herself, the war, and the base. It was so rewarding to contribute support to these families who have love overseas. May God Bless them and keep them safe !!!

Sidewalk Chalk 12/4/09

It was a beautiful day (for being December) and we spent some time outside... The girls took out their chalk and started drawing pictures for me.... It is amazing how imaginative they are at this age....

Caitlyn told me she was drawing a hopscotch board for us to play on:
Charlotte wrote her name:

This is a flower for me with lots of petals:
Not sure what this is but it looks like the state of Florida to me:
Charlotte says the big round drawing is a whale with his mouth open:

After we were all done, I just had to take pictures....because I wanted to save these drawings forever !
