Bug House 05/20/10

This week at school the girls have been learning a lot about bugs and reptiles !!! Today they came home with their bug houses.... They made little homes for them to sleep and eat in. Charlotte had lady bugs and flowers around her house..... and Caitlyn had a rock and flower garden for her frog's home. They were so cute and creative !!!

Lefty or Righty 05/20/10

I found William coloring in his sisters' coloring books. He took out a few crayons and started coloring with his right hand, then switch to another color with his left hand.....then later grab a different color with his right hand..... then again with his left hand. So not sure if he is a lefty or a righty.
But I think he is a righty.....because uses a fork with his right and he throws a ball with his right. Maybe he was just trying out different ways of coloring ? :)

Sunburst New England Finals Pageant 05/15/10

Today Charlotte was competing in the Miss Sunburst New England Pageant Finals. She won a local pageant back in October and was invited to the State finals. She was competing in 3 categories.... Day Wear /Casual Wear, Swimsuit, and Beauty/Formal wear. She did a great job...walked on stage, smiled, and posed !
She won 1st Runner up plus overall Daywear in entire pageant.... and overall Swimsuit in her age division. Also won best formal attire. She took home a few trophies and crowns....and we were all very happy !
These are the pictures I took outside the ballroom because there was no photography allowed during competition....I should be getting the photographers CD in about two weeks. :)
Congratulations Charlotte !!

A Different Art Project 05/14/10

Caitlyn asked me today "what are we gonna do that different?".... I asked her what she meant by that and she said she wanted to know if there is anything we can do different. So I thought about doing some kind of art project using their beads. Instead of stringing the beads, we can use glue and make designs with them on a thick construction paper. They loved it.... and kept busy for about two hours !!!

Caitlyn makes a sun ....

Gone Country - Alan Jackson Concert 05/13/10

Country Star Alan Jackson was in town and we went to see his concert !! It was great to see many other fans ...especially those who were wearing cowboy hats and cowboy boots. It felt like we were back in Texas !!
It was an awesome concert... he sang all his hit songs like "Gone Country", "Itty Bitty", "Chattahoochie" (sp?). We had a great time !!

I ran up to the stage and took this shot....

Happy Mother's Day !

Today we went to the Dockside Restaurant in beautiful York Maine. We met Bill, Eleanor, Annie and Earl there for 1230pm Brunch ! The food was fabulous and the mimosas were awesome! We had a wonderful time together and just could not get enough of the beautiful view !

This was the view from every direction....beautiful water views and boats.....sunny day !

The girls made Mother's day artwork for Grandmommy ...

Play again mommy? 05/08/10

Lately the girls have been really into playing board games. We play before they go to bed and sometimes we play when little William takes his naps. Today the girls wanted to play the deluxe version of Candyland....so after I put William down, and I put a load in the washer I sat down to a competitive game of Candyland.
This game is a little difficult to set up because you get to create the path and not all the pieces fit together....so after about 15 minutes of set up we played a few games. I won the first round.......and Charlotte won the second round. Caitlyn asked to play again so she can win...and we did....she won. Yay!

Mini Slide 05/07/10

It was beautiful Spring day so we all hung out in the yard....the girls rode their bikes and little William played with his little slide. He must of went on the slide 20 times on his own. He has become real good at climbing the stairs, getting his feet and legs up front, and sliding down the "short" slide.... and he loves it !!!
He has grown so much and I cannot believe my little boy is an active little boy ! (sigh)

Tire Swing 05/05/10

I was able to get all 3 of the kiddos on this tire swing at the local park..... and they loved it !!! They laughed and laughed and laughed! I couldnt get enough of their laughter!
Caitlyn loved to swing on it and Charlotte loved to spin .... William can do either. :)

After a while, William wanted out of the tire....

Red Tulips 05/04/10

Lots of red tulips have been popping up in our front and back yard lately..... and they are BEAUTIFUL !!!
I have to thank Chris for planting them one cold and rainy day last Winter !!!

Haverhill Doll Stroller Parade 05/02/10

The town of Haverhill Mass was having their annual Kids Festival Downtown today and to kick things off, they start with a Doll Stroller Parade. The girls and I drove down there and got in line just in time for the parade to start. The girls wore their crowns just like last year and was noticed by a local newspaper photographer ! Their picture was taken before the parade and then later on again while coloring. (I found out later they made the front page of the Haverhill Gazette - yay!)
After the parade, there was a Dr. Suess activity area where the girls painted, made stamp art and fished for candy prizes. We met our friends Maeve, Rowan and Adrianna there...we enjoyed playing with them. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely do it again next year !
