Off to see the Great Wolf ! 10/08/09

We couldn't stay away too long ..... We headed back to Texas when fares were cheap and of course, when there was an opportunity for Chris to see the Gators play !!!
We flew out on American Airlines and surprisingly the kids did really well on the 3 hour plane ride. We checked into the new resort that everyone was raving about ...The GREAT Wolf Resort. It was an awesome place for families to relax and have fun!! It had a huge indoor waterpark, buffet restaurant, bakery, Starbucks, kids spa, arts and crafts room, and etc. We loved it. The icing on the cake was the lobby storytime that happens every night at 8pm. It was a live animated show complete with Wylie the bear who comes out and greets you. The kids had a fabulous time !!

Happy Halloweena !! 10/05/09

"Happy Halloweena to you ..." " Happy Halloweena to you...."
Chris bought a carrot cake at the store and the girls called it a Halloweena cake. They asked if it was Halloweena's birthday... and that gave me the idea to light up some candles. We sang happy birthday and then Charlotte blew out the candles. It was a fun way of having dessert that night. In the end, they discovered that they did not like carrot cake so it was left for me to finish!

Auntie Dona is here !! 10/04/09

Auntie Dona and Jack came to visit today !!! It was awesome that they were able to spend time with us and the kids. We took them around Hampton, the beach and to the Old Salt for dinner. They had the Clam Bake for two and absolutely loved it !!! After one night with us, they were off to Maine then to a wedding at Castle in the Clouds. We enjoyed them very much and was sorry to see them go. Hope to spend more time with them again real soon. We love you Auntie Dona !

Patriots and the Mall 09/27/09

For Bill's (Chris' dad) birthday, Chris took him to the Patriots Game. They both had never been so it was a perfect gift and a perfect father -son getaway. The weather forcast called for rain all day so they were worried about being rained out. They went to the game anyway... enjoyed the tailgate party.... and watched the game. It turned out to be mostly drizzle... and the Patriots won 26-10. yay!
While the guys went to the game, Eleanor, the kids and I decided to go shopping. We went to the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester. It was busy that day but I guess it is because of the rain and everyone had the same idea. We were able to shop a little bit but the kids were restless so we took them on the indoor Merry go round and then got some ice cream. We then went to the play area where little William crawled around. He was so happy going thru the little tunnel. Back and forth then back and forth. Finally I had to grab him to go and he practically had a fit !!! We then headed over to the Disney store where the girls showed grandmommy their fairy wings.... it was so cute. Charlotte even commented on how they needed "magic" to fly.
Lastly on our way out, we went to the coin operated cars. The girls rode on the pink ice cream truck.... then we visited the pet store where they had the cutest little pekingnese puppy and white husky. They were so cute that you just wanted to take them home.
We had a fun day at the mall...The girls got to play and have ice cream ...and I got a new fleece vest at Macy's. ha. So everyone was happy :)

Giraffes at the Fair ? 09/26/09

We heard the Rochester Fair was going on this past weekend and decided to check it out ! It was a large fairground with lots of rides, good food, games, arts and crafts, and animals ! We saw all the normal animals but were especially surprised to see giraffes there. We had never been that close to one before....they were very friendly and were not afraid to lean over and take food from you. The girls loved feeding them....the zebras and goats got food too.
There was a large pumpkin exhibit that was neat to see. A thousand pound pumpkin won first place ! The girls loved seeing them.... they also loved riding the rides. Their favorite of course was the merry go round and the caterpillar rollercoaster !!
The fair also featured a circus. It had many great acts such as the lady who can spin 100 hula hoops... the tightrope walker, the funny clown, the man who walks the spinning wheel and a lady who swings around on two long fabrics that draped to the ground. It was all amazing to watch. The fair was a great idea and it as a perfect Saturday for it ! :)
